The Phil Meyers Family Home Page

Hi, my name is Phil Meyers. I've been researching my family tree for about 3 years now. Most of the information I have is from secondary sources like the internet. But I believe it to be pretty reliable. Some of the names I am most interested in finding more information about are: Meyers, Wood, Hall, Bennet, Shotwell, and Thomas.
Of special interest to me is a legend passed down about a ship captain from Perth Amboy, NJ who smuggled an Indian Princess from an arranged marriage. Apparently they fell in love on the voyage and she decided to marry him instead of her arranged spouse. They sailed back to Perth Amboy and changed her name.

I don't know the time frame or even the exact names, but I believe his last name was Guilick and her name was Catherine, at least after she changed it. So they married, and one of their children married a bennet, who married a Bessonett. That's all I have.
