We are researching the one of the many branches of the Meyer family. The early hints of family came from 1813 at Winson von Aller not to far from Celle or Hamburg. The Gehle family, also from Winson contributed the female part of the two that immigrated to the United States c. 1843. We cannot go backwards for the lack of leads, but my immediate family enables us other possibilities. My grandmother Emma Westphal was born in Naperville, Illinois, April 2,1876. Through her we are trying to get a lead back to Germany. We do not have her parents and can only guess the name Westphal would lead us to Westphalia. Lead possibilities are kinda dry. |
