I'm from the Detroit area of Michigan, researching several families: The Meyer family came from Bremen, Germany.
The Bassett family goes back to my grandfather born in Harbor Springs, Michigan in 1907.

The Ostrowski family goes back to my Great Grandfather Alexander Ostrowski and his wife, Janinia Prosorchich from Plosk, Poland.

The Rhodes family - Charles Boyd Rhodes from Oxford, Michigan.

The Sterlie family. I have cousins in Michigan. My Great Grandfather was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The Anderson family. Great Grandma Margaret was born in Brazil, Indiana.

The Leonard family. My Great Grandma is Mary and her family was from Ireland.

The Rice family from California. Claude Melville Rice born in 1888 in Los Angeles. His parents or grandparents are from Clement, Iowa and Marshalltown, Iowa.

Whitt family possibly from Ireland with roots in Virginia and California.

The Scott family. Daniel Scott born 1858 in California, wife Valeria Whittaker.

The Aitken family. Robert Aitken probably born in 1900's in Detroit, Michigan.

And finally, the Spohr family - Beatrice is the only name I have and her family is from Germany.
