He married (1) Anna Catherina Elizabeth Eberhard 1745 in Oleys Hills, Berks, PA.. She was born March 12, 1723 in Durstal, Alsach, France, and died September 17, 1780. He married (2) Anna Oplinger 1781 in Norhampton, PA.. She was born 1724 in Schwartzena, Westfalen, Germany, and died December 28, 1804.

Notes for JohnBernhard Kuntz:
Bernhard Kuntz was born 3 Dec. 1723, probably in Alsace. Bernhard came to America with his father, John Jacob Kuntz. He settled in Lehigh Township. He married (1st) in 1745, in the Oley Hills, in Berks County, to Anna Catherina Eberhard. They were married by Rev. Henry Melchior Muhlenberg. Anna was born in 1723 and died 17 Sept. 1780. They had eleven children. He located in Lehigh Township where he purchased from the Penn heirs 101 acres along the bank of the Hokendauqua Creek. On June 21, 1768, he sold this to Christian Lauffer. This same year he was assessed for 50 acres of land, three horses and three cows, as well as for a tract of land called "Benninger's Place". In 1771, he is mentioned as one of four members of a building committee to rebuild the joint Lutheran and Reformed Church at Indianland. Bernhard married (2nd) Anna Oplinger (Obsinerin), Born 1724 in Schwartzena, Germany. She died 28 Dec. 1804. He died 14 July 1807, age 83 years, 7 mo. and two weeks. he is buried at Indianland Church, Lehigh Township, Northampton County, where are also buried his first and his second wife, and seven of his children. (His will is recorded at Easton, Pa., with witnesses Dewald Shaffer and Peter Shaffer on the third day of August, 1807, before George Ihrie, Deputy Register & C., in and for the County of Northampton.
