My research thus far has simply followed the male line, except that where other information has come to hand this has also been added. The main centres of the name to which I have been able to connect with cirtainty are the areas around Newcastle under Lyme, and Lichfield. I have also collected items connected with the name but not necessarily with my own family. For instance there are many Mifflins in America who would appear to have originated in Wiltshire. I would be happy to share any information that I have and would appreciate any help anyone can give me. |
