Notes for Jacob Frasher Krebs: MAN PASSES AWAY DAY AFTER WIFE Jacob F. Krebs, Prominent Resident of Glenville, Dies - Double Funeral Will Be Held On Tuesday Jacob F. Krebs, a prominent citizen of Glenville, died at 5:45 o'clock yesterday morning at his home there, after an illness of several months during which time he had been bedfast for several weeks, from a complication of diseases. Mr. Krebs died while his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Brodbeck Krebs, was lying dead in the home, she having died Thursday morning, about 24 hours before. Mr. Krebs was aged 73 years, eight months and 11 days. Mr. Krebs had been an active figure in the civic interests of Glenville before his failing health set in. He had been treasurer and a director of the Codorus and Manheim Mutual Protective Insurance Company, with his offices in the Security bank building, York. He had also been a director of the Glen Rock Trust Company. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Lewis F. Krebs and William F. Krebs, both of Glenville; Annie C. Krebs and John F. Krebs, both of Glen Rock R.D. Mrs. Krebs is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. John Krebs, Mrs. Allen Rebert, Mrs. Ralph Bowman and Melvin Brodbeck, all of Brodbeck; Mrs. E. S. Shive, York; Mrs. P. E. Myers, Jacksonville, Fla.; George W. Brodbeck, Easton, and one sister-in-law, Mrs. S. B. Brodbeck. A double funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, from the late home. Concluding services will be held at the Stone church and interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Paul D. Yoder, pastor of the Jefferson Reformed charge, will officiate at the service for Mrs. Krebs, and the Rev. W. H. Ehrhart, pastor of the Jefferson Lutheran charge, will officiate at that part of the service for Mr. Krebs. |

Notes for Elizabeth Brodbeck: MRS. JACOB F. KREBS After a two week illness of a complication of diseases, one week of which she was confined to bed, Mrs. Elizabeth Brodbeck Krebs, wife of Jacob F. Krebs, died at her home in Codorus township, near Glenville, yesterday at 4 a.m. She was aged 70 years, two months and 12 days. Her husband, who is seriously ill, is the only survivor. |
