MRS. CLARA A. GLATFELTER

Mrs. Clara Anna (Klinedinst) Glatfelter, widow of George Glatfelter, died yesterday morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Bubb, Spring Grove, with whom she resided for the past several years. Her husband died four years ago. She had been confined to bed for the past several months suffering from a complication of diseases which was the cause of her death. She was aged 71 years, 8 months and 8 days. She is survived by the following children: Charles Glatfelter, Larue; Edward Glatfelter, Spring Grove; Mrs. Hamilton Kessler, Hanover Junction; Mrs. Levi Bubb, and Mrs. Ezra Sterner, Spring Grove; Mrs. George Strausbaugh, Hanover Junction and Bruce Glatfelter, Spring Grove. Twenty-seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning with short services at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Bubb, at 9:30 o'clock and further services at Shaffer's Union church. The Rev. W. H. Ehrhart will officiate.

HENRY S. GLATFELTER

Henry S. Glatfelter, of Neiman, who has been for several weeks making his home at Abbottstown with his son, the Rev. Paul Glatfelter, died yesterday at 3 a.m., from a complication of diseases. He was 65 years old and was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Amanda (Caslow) Glatfelter; the following children: Paul Glatfelter and C. H. Glatfelter, Glen Rock; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Anna Miller, Neiman, and brother and sisters; Peter Glatfelter, Neiman; Mrs. Sevilla Warner, Larue; Mrs. Jacob Sterner, Hanover Junction. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m., at the house. Further services will take place at Shaffer's Union church and interment in the adjoining cemetery.

FORMER PASTOR EXPIRES AT JACOBUS

Rev. Paul Gladfelter, 77, retired Lutheran minister and husband of Mrs. Amy (Bailey) Gladfelter, died Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at his home in Jacobus.
Surviving besides his widow are a foster sister, Mrs. Annie Miller, Seven Valleys R.D. His daughter, Marguerite, died 24 years ago.
The minister was born in Codorus Township and educated in Glenville Academy. He was graduated from Gettysburg College in 1904 and from the Gettysburg Seminary in 1907.
His career as an active clergyman, extending from 1907 to 1938, included three assignments - Green Hill mission from 1907 to 1910, York Springs from 1910 to 1920, and Abbottstown and East Berlin from 1920 to 1938. He served as supply pastor for the Arendtsville parish from 1942 to 1945 and in other York County churches.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Salem Union Church by Rev. James R. Nace, Lutheran pastor, assisted by Rev. Franklin E. Patschke, of St. Paul's (Wolf's) Lutheran Church and Rev. Dr. D. F. Putman, president of the Central Pennsylvania Synod. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery, York.

Mrs. Amy B. Gladfelter

Mrs. Amy B. Gladfelter, 89, died at 5:20 p.m. Thursday at York Hospital. She had lived at the Lutheran Home for eight years and prior to that had lived in Jacobus for 15 years.
She was the wife of the late Rev. Paul Gladfelter.
Mrs. Gladfelter was born in York County, daughter of the late Emanuel and Mary Ellen (Maul) Bailey. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Jacobus, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 169.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. today at Salem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Irvin E. Straw Jr., pastor of Hametown-Loganville Lutheran Churches, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
