MRS. REUBEN H. WERNER

Mrs. Lucy Ann (Sterner) Werner, 83, a lifelong resident of the Jefferson area, died at her home, Spring Grove R.D. 2, near Jefferson, yesterday at 9:45 p.m. Her husband, Reuben H. Werner, died 21 years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Calvin Trone and Mrs. Mervin Henry, Spring Grove R.D. 2, and Mrs. Samuel Miller, Brodbecks R.D.; eight grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Wilson Hershey, Spring Grove R.D. 1, and Mrs. J. L. E. Copenheaver, Hanover R.D. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Geiple funeral home, Glen Rock. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

JEFFERSON - Mrs. Alice M. (Werner) Trone, 84, formerly of Jefferson, died at 10 p.m. Friday at Hillview House, Hanover. She was the wife of the late Calvin F. Trone.
Mrs. Trone, born in Codorus Township, was a daughter of the late Ruben H. and Lucy (Sterner) Werner.
She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Jefferson; the Ladies Auxiliary of Jefferson Fire Co.; and Greenmount United Methodist Sunday School.
Survivors include: Two children, Fred A. Trone, Altoona, and Mrs. Harry N. Forry, Codorus; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mervin Henry, 52 N. High St., Spring Grove, and three nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Geiple funeral home, Glen Rock. Her pastor, the Rev. Donald Mummert, will officiate. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. No viewing Monday evening. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

CALVIN F. TRONE

Calvin F. Trone, 73, husband of Mrs. Alice (Werner) Trone, died yesterday at 12:25 p.m. at his home, Spring Grove R.D. 2, near Jefferson, after an illness of eight months. A resident of the Jefferson area all his life, Mr. Trone was employed at Codorus Canning Company, Jefferson. He was formerly engaged in farming. Surviving besides his wife, are a son, Fred A. Trone, Altoona; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Forry, Jefferson; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister, Gertrude Trone, Jefferson. The Rev. G. C. Daugherty, pastor of Jefferson EUB Charge, will officiate at the funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Geiple funeral home, Glen Rock. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.

SPRING GROVE - Lottie C. (Werner) Henry, 83, of 52 N. High St., died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 1992, at York Hospital.
Born in Codorus Township, she was the daughter of the late Reuben H. and Lucy Ann (Sterner) Werner. She was the wife of the late Mervin L. Henry.
Mrs. Henry had retired in 1971 from the then Dallmeyer Sewing Co., Spring Grove. She also had been employed at sewing factories in Jefferson and Glen Rock.
A member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Jefferson, since 1926, she was a former Sunday School teacher and Sunday school secretary.
She belonged to the American Association of Retired Persons West York Chapter 1578, and the St. Matthew Half-Century Fellowship of York.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. The Rev. George B. Hummer, interim pastor of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mervin L. Henry

SPRING GROVE - Mervin L. Henry, 79, of 52 N. High St., a retired employee of the P. H. Glatfelter Co., died at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lottie C. (Werner) Henry.
The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church, Brodbecks RD 1. Burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery. Viewing will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. The Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Henry was born in the Dallastown area, the son of the late John A. and Carrie B. (Winter) Henry.
He retired from the shipping department of the Glatfelter company and was a member of the firm's Quarter Century Club. After retirement, he was a part-time custodian at Spring Grove Area High School until 1983.
A member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Lutheran Congregation, he also was a member of the Men's Bible Class, of the church's Community Club, of St. Matthew Lutheran Church Half-Century Fellowship of York, of Spring Grove Area Senior Citizens and American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 1578.
Mr. Henry also is survived by two brothers, Clair A. Henry, 2427 Eastwood Drive, York, and Elmer W. Henry, 211 N. Main St., Shrewsbury.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Richard C. Weaver, and pastor emeritus, the Rev. Kenneth S. Ehrhart.

12. Leah3 Sterner (Caroline2 Glatfelter, Charles1) was born February 08, 1879, and died April 24, 1968. She married Wilson Cletus Hershey April 22, 1909. He was born December 03, 1873, and died April 05, 1954.

Mrs. Leah (Sterner) Hershey, 89, died yesterday at 9 a.m. at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer W. Myers, Spring Grove R.D. 1, with whom she resided.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sterner and the widow of Wilson C. Hershey.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a son, Wilson E. Hershey, Spring Grove R.D. 2; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Joseph W. Seitz, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Spring Grove, will officiate at the funeral service Friday at 2 p.m. at the Sauter Funeral Home, Spring Grove. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.

WILSON C. HERSHEY

Wilson C. Hershey, husband of Mrs. Leah (Sterner) Hershey, died at 7 o'clock last evening at his home, Spring Grove R.D. 1.
A son of the late Andrew H. Hershey and Sarah Mary (Wiest) Hershey of Spring Grove, he was aged 80 years.
Mr. Hershey leaves a son, Wilson E. Hershey, Spring Grove R.D. 1; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer W. Myers, at home; eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Lucian H. Swartz, Spring Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sauter funeral home, North Main Street, Spring Grove. The Rev. Dr. Ralph C. Robinson, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Spring Grove, will officiate. Burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7 and 9 p.m. tomorrow.

SPRING GROVE -- Alice A. (Hershey) Myers, 79, of Spring Grove RD 4, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Elmer W. Myers, to whom she was married for 49 years.
The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Myers was born Nov. 23, 1916, in Jackson Township. She was the daughter of the late Wilson C. and Leah (Sterner) Hershey.
She was a seamstress for Associated Sportswear in Spring Grove, retiring in 1987. She was a graduate of Spring Grove Area High School.
Mrs. Myers also is survived by a son, Carl E. Myers of Hanover; two daughters, Mary M. Myers of York and Louise I. Myers of Thomasville RD 2; and a grandson.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Ralph G. Eib, pastor of Christ's American Baptist Church, Spring Grove RD 5.

SPRING GROVE - Elmer W. Myers, 86, of Spring Grove, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday at Manor Care Health Services North. He was the husband of Alice A. (Hershey) Myers, who died Oct. 16, 1996.
The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery in Codorus Township. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Myers was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Brookside Park, York County. He was the son of the late Percy and Martha (Sowers) Myers.
He retired from Wayneco Inc. in York, where he was a cabinetmaker.
Mr. Myers is survived by a son, Carl E. Myers of Hanover; two daughters, Mary M. Myers of York and Louise I. Myers of Thomasville; a grandson; a brother, Glen Myers of Thomasville; and a sister, Lydia King of Hanover.
