LAWRENCE M. BOYER
Lawrence M. "Larry" "Blue" Boyer of Route 2, Cadet departed this life on Wednesday, August 12, 1987 in the John Cochran Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Louis, at the age of fifty-three years, four months, and seventeen days. He was born March 25, 1934 in Cadet, a son of Roy N. and Marie Portell Boyer.
Larry was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the AMVETS Post 48, DeSoto.
He leaves to survive him his parents, Roy N. and Marie Boyer of Route 2, Cadet; two brothers, William E. Boyer of Austin, Texas and Charles L. Boyer of Route 2, Cadet; three sisters, Betty (Mrs. Elmer Eckhoff) and Route 2, Cadet, Carol Kincaid of Imperial, and Judy (Mrs. Bill Cain) of Route 2, Cadet; Nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Mass was conducted Friday, August 14, 1987, 10:00 A.M. at St. Joachim's Catholic Church, Old Mines, with Fr. Ted Pieper the celebrant, assisted by Deacon Wayne Boyer. Interment was in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Hwy 8 west, Potosi, with military services conducted at the graveside. Arrangements were under the direction of Gum & Son Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Eckhoff, Kenny Eckhoff, Tracey Eckhoff, Keith Cain, Scott Cain and Billy Cain.
Larry was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the AMVETS Post 48, DeSoto.
