Notes for BENJAMIN MILLER:
In 1779, at the age of 17 volunteered for the Revolutionary War as a Minute Man Survey, as a scout on the frontier, and as a Dispatch Carrier for General George Washington. In May 1781 he enrolled as a private under Captain Anderson Lieustimp and Col. Edwards of Virginia.
