Find Family

Hello, I am Josie Miller Dorman, daughter of Armond Miller and Lillie Francois, originally from Louisiana, living in Texas since 1944. Mom and Dad had six children, Eola Marie, Mary Jenora, Joseph Burley Josie Mae , James Burton and Ann Janelle .I married James Floyd Dorman in 1946,we had three children, Jennifer Lynn, Angela Marie and Dennis James.
March 16th 1977, after reading the genealogy, of my husband in the Opportunity Valley News of Orange Texas, of his second great grandfather about one hundred years ago. I became interested in my genealogy.
In 1977 I took my note pad in hand and went to my father for help. He gave me names on my paternal and maternal side of the family. My Father had a very heavy french accent and some of the names were hard for me to understand.
My daughter, Angela Dorman O'Connor, also became very interested in our genealogy. We went to work, we searched Genealogy and Morman libraries, court houses, and talked to anyone that could help us. My biggest discovery was when I found the South West Louisiana Records by Rev. Donald Hebert.I now have his CD. Thanks to him we have found many of our roots.
Angela has The Mouton's and the O'Connors her e-mail address is
