We are researching the family line of John Milbourne and Elizabeth Chapman both Quakers. They moved to the Friends community of "Hopewell" near Winchester, Virginia in 1741. John was b. circa 1705 in New Jersey and was probably the son of Andrew and Sarah Milbourne of Hunterdon. The links shown in the interTree to Andrew, William and Luke Milbourne are all suppositions at this point. We are also trying to tie Richard Milburn b. abt. 1760 in Virginia to John or Andrew. Robert removed to Washington Co., Ky about 1797 and after first wife Sebely Engham died he re-married Margaret Grayham July 25, 1803. This family has ties with McCarty, Inman, Vaughan, Foster, Wineinger and Burnett.
Key areas of research have been Bourbon County, Kansas; Dubois County, Indiana; Washington County, Kentucky and Frederick County, Virginia.

We are also working on GOODALE, GOODENOUGH, WEBER and WOLCOTT from Mass.; DuVAL, FORE, SLEDD, BRANCH and WINFREE from Va.; ELSTON from Pa. and Woodbridge, NJ; CONNOR from Ill.; Daniel H. Wheeler and Nancy Ford b. in IND abt.1840; and Hans Ferdinand FISCHER from Ohio abt. 1920.

We also have a lot of information on Milburn's who are not in our direct line. We are happy to share any information that we do have with other researchers.

Please note that the InterTree takes awhile to load and requires patience to navigate but is a good format. Those with pre Pentium machines may wish to skip to the next reports listed. Thanks for Visiting and drop us an Email. Let us know if you would be interested in a Milburn Newsletter in the future....
