Henry Aikman died at his home 605 East South street a few minutes after 12 o'clock today. His death was not unexpected because his helth had been declining for several months. Members of his family saw the end approaching and all the children were near when death came. Many friends sorrow with the family over their loss.
Mr. Aikman was 78 years old January 30. He came from a long line of Aikmans, which family has for many years played an important part in the development of the county. His fatehr was James Aikman; a Sugarland farmer. The deceased was born northeast of Washingtona nd farmed many years of his life, moving to Washington from the old Aikman homestead in the Sugarland. He was married twice. His first wife was Laura Bradford. One daughter, Mrs. Walter Cole survives this marriage. His second wife was Mrs. Sarah Williams and seven children were born to their union.
