There's a small log cabin village on Hwy.33 between Baraboo and Reedsburg. I've toured the cabins on several different occasions. All the cabins and their contents are authentic. In the back sitting alone is a one room school house. The visitors have access to all the old school records. While leafing through some of the papers, I came across this piece of paper. I was very excited. As you can see it has Lorens and Arnits names. Grandpa's name was always misspelled. Its spelled correct on this piece of paper.
All of Amy's and my notes show the spelling of ROEWER not ROEVER. There's a Paul Roewer in one of these classes. Is he related? I would think so.
p.s. I asked one of the tour guides if she could get a copy of this paper for us after telling her why we would like it. She was happy to help us.
