The Fuller family tree is a large and diverse tree. Our roots has been traced back to Arkansas in the Oneida, Pine Bluff, Helena area. Unfortunatly, at this point, we have only been able to trace our roots back (verified with documentation) to the year 1871. That is the year Mark Fuller was born. He married Nancy Jane Carter (born 1875) and they had 9 children. Lena, Louis, Alfonso, Courtney, Roosevelt, Elettie, Levetha, Sam, and Polly. Of the nine, only Lena, Louis, Courtney, and Alfonso had children that we know of at this time. I am still searching for ancestors further back than that. Mark had a brother that he shared some land with in Arkansas. Somehow the brothers had a massive falling out and wound up walking away from the land, loosing it back to the state. The argument was so bad that Mark's brother changed his last name to Robinson. We do have a living desendant of that branch of the family living here in Chicago. Mark also had a First Cousin named William Fuller (Will for short). Will's Family migrated to Chicago in the 1920's. He settled and married Emma Miller. This family grew with the birth's of Ruthie Mae, Willie Mae, Jean, Frank, & Idella Fuller. Mark's family grew also. His eldest child Lena moved to Chicago in search of work, Louis was killed in a suspicious truck accident, Roosevelt & Elettie both went to chicago, & died at a young age; of cancer and Turburculosis respectivly. They left no children. Levetha, moving through Mississippi and Tennesee, finally settled in chicago and lost her life eight days after giving birth to her 9th child. Courtney chose to marry and raise her family in Arkansas. Alfonso, moving through Mississippi, Settled in the Detroit area. No information has been given, or found as to what happened to Sam or Polly. Lena had one child, Arthur. He has a daughter Loria and an adopted son Roderick. Louis had one child, Pauline. Pauline had no children. Alfonso had 3 children, Andrew, Annie Laurie, and Leo. Of the three, only, Andrew had children. Courtney had 12 children, Robert T., Samuel jr, Calvin and Melvin (twins died at childbirth), James, Odessa, Essie, Hyman, Ruth, Norman, and Glen. Levetha had 9 children, Rudolph, Jlaren(Marzee), Robert, Burnella, Alvin, Marian, Harold, Gwendolyn, and Barbara Jean. You will have to explore the book that I have compiled called "The Fuller Family: The Growth of a Nation", for more facts. There are also photo's included in the section called "Index of individuals".
