Joseph H. Milstead fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War. He was wounded and captured on Culp's Hill at Gettysburg on July 3rd and spent almost 2 years at Point Lookout Prison, MD until the end of the war. He is one of only about 300 Confederates buried at Arlington National Cemetary at the Confederate Memorial. He lived until 1224. This may or not be the same Joseph H. Milstead that is the great grandfather of the webmaster.
