Progress on my "Sturgeon" Family Tree, (see outline "Descendants of Samuel Sturgeon dated April 8, 1998). Samuel Sturgeon, my GGGGrandfather moved to Coshocton, Ohio in 1812, according to family stories and was born in Pennsylvania on January 9, 1792. Martin, his son, was my GGGrandfather.
Isaac, Martin's son, was my GGrandfather
Howard Isaac, Isaac's son was my Grandfather.
Alta Charlotte Sturgeon, daughter of Howard Isaac Sturgeon was my mother.
The individuals underlined above are my direct ancestors. Samuel Sturgeon had parents in Pa. To this day, I have been unsuccessful in connecting him with any other Sturgeons living in Pa. during the latter part of the 1790s.

Samuel first appeared in the 1830 census living in Coshocton, Ohio. His six children were born there (five boys and one girl) by the time the 1840 census was taken.

Samuel latter moved to Fulton county Indiana in 1842 and died there on August 20, 1846.
