The Minniti - McEwan Genealogy Page

Updated December 15, 2007

We are especially interested in information about the descendents of Robert Gilbert Livingston, son of Gilbert Livingston, son of Robert Livingston (Lord of the Manor), of upstate New York (17th - 20th centuries). We're trying to establish that my wife's ancestor, Henry G. -- aka Harry --Livingston, is the grandson of Robert the Progenitor, through his son Robert G. (i.e., Henry G./Harry, son of Major Henry G., son of Robert Gilbert, son of Gilbert, son of Robert).

Based on some correspondence with another descendent of Henry G., we have concluded that our Henry G./Harry and his sister, Margaret/Peggy, were probably the children of Major Henry G. Livingston(possibly through a liason with a cousin, Margaret), who eventually married Anne Nutter. There is a record of a "Peggy" Livingston giving birth to, and later baptising, her children, Harry and Peggy, but the father is not identified in either the birth or baptismal records.

Any help or advice is much appreciated and, yes, I'd be happy to share any information I have in my database.
