The Robert Minchey Family History

Our lineage has been traced back to the year 1638 in Britain. The Minchey name,one of several variations of the Minshull- Minshall name of Britain, is associated with the Minshew-Minchew-Mincey-Mincy names with direct lineage to most. Our ancestors came in at Norfolk, Virginia, moved to Chowan County, North Carolina then to Whyte County, Virginia and finally to Jackson County, Tennessee. There are several other lines that went elsewhere. One line is documented to Utah.
Based on DNA research the paternal line of the Minchey's are direct descendents of the Ancient Briton's that settled the Isles.
