Notes for Janet Marie Allen: Janet Marie Haggard, 63, passed away Friday, August 17, 2007, in the Brevard Hospice facility at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge FL. Janet was born December 25, 1943 in Jackson County, Tn. to Joe Robert and Margaret Elizabeth Sadler Allen and grew up in and around the community of Doyle in middle Tennessee. Janet graduated from St. Thomas Nursing School in Nashville, Tn. as an RN and was employed by the Methodist Medical Center Hospital in Oak Ridge, Tn. as one of their first intensive care nurses. She was married to James V. Haggard, Jr. on August 15, 1965 in Clinton, Tn. and they lived in various locations in Brevard County, FL. before establishing their home in Merritt Island, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert. She is survived by her husband, James; sons, James V. Haggard, III and Trevor A. Haggard and his wife, Jolene J. Haggard (Erickson), both of Merritt Island; her mother, Margaret of Clinton, Tn.; Grandchildren, Noah A. Haggard (son of James, III and Gavin A. Haggard (son of Trevor); her brother, Joe Larry Allen and his wife, Margaret Yvonne Haggard Allen (sister of James V. Haggard, Jr.) of Clinton, Tn.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and countless friends. Janet worked for Drs. Charles and Sukon Wanich for several years as the head nurse at the Brevard Kidney Center on Merritt Island. She attended the University of Florida in Orlando where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Services Administration. She also became a certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN). She , along with her husband, was an active, dedicated and devout member of the Church of Christ on North Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island FL. She had various interests, but her passion was The Church, her family, her friends and her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, August 25th, at the Church of Christ on N. Courtenay Pkwy. Evangelist Jere Frost presiding. Interment will immediately follow at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S. U.S Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
