MRS. SARAH R. DAYHUFF DIES Funeral Services Friday at 1:30

Mrs. Sarah R. Dayhuff, 86, died at the home of her daughter, mrs. Clayton Townsend, Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Her husband Orlando W. preceded her in death several years ago. She was a charter member of the Mt. Cavalry church near Patricksburg. Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Ray, of Spencer, Ross, of Freedom Route; Mrs. Clayton Townsend, Spencer Route and Mrs. Bertha Hoot, of Freedom Route. The body was taken to the West and Son Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mt. Cavalry church with the Rev. Owen, of Coal City, officiating. The body will be left at the Funeral Home until time of the funeral. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery.

DEATH TAKES O. W. DAYHUFF ON THURSDAY Funeral To be at 10 o'Clock Sunday Morning
OWEN NATIVE Had Moved To Spencer After Retirement 9 Years Ago

O. W. Dayhuff, 85, retired farmer, died at his home on Indiana avenue at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon following a lingering illness. The son of Bazil and Jane Dayhuff, the deceased was born in Lafayette township and lived there until nine years ago, when he retired from active farming and moved to Spencer. He maried the former Sarah Mishler Dec. 31, 1878, who lived on a farm near the one where Mr. Dayhuff was born. The couple moved on the Mishler place and lived there until moving to Spencer. If Mr. Dayhuff would have lived until Dec. 31 the couple would have observed its sixty-first wedding anniversary. In addition to the widow, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Hoot, of Freedom, and Mrs. Anna Townsend, of near Soencer; three sons, Wallace, of Owen county; Roscoe, of Worthington, and Ray, of Spencer; 32 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Ray Dayhuff, manager of the Owen County Farmers' supply, is well known here and has been commander of the local American Legion post and also a member of the Spencer school board. Funeral services for the deceased will be held at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at the Cavalry U. B. church, with burial in the Macedonia cemetery, The Rev. JohnRagle will be in charge of services.
