Mary took over the duties of raising August's first four children. Mary and August had two children of their own Sylvia and Phyllis. Anna's obituary read: On Saturday morning the wife of August Miskey passed away at home near the quarry. She was 34 years of age and had been sick with consumption for about two years. She leaves a husband and several children. The funeral was held at St. Stanislaus Church at 8:30 this Monday morning with burial at the cemetary of that church on Wisconsin Street.
