[1921] According to the Edward Franklin Weed notebook, John Weed's will was probated in 1689.

[1923] John Weed owned a lot next to his brother, Daniel, which fronted on West Street south of the Mill Road, and the lot backed up to the Mill River. John probably bought his brother's lot and both lots were in 1700 owned by heirs of John.
[1924] p. 67 In April 1667 all men who wished to put mares in the common pasture agreed to erect and maintain a fence. On the list were John Weed, along with his brother Daniel.
p. 75 Second generation sons of Stamford in 1670 included John Weed and his brothers Daniel, Jonas Jr., and Samuel.
[1925] p. 105 Among the men os Stamford who died during the 1680s was John, who died in 1689.
