John Mitchell, b: 1760-1790 in "Virginia", d: October 10, 1843 in Chillicothe, OH , age unknown He was in Henry Brush’s company in war of 1812. He was a tailor in Chillicothe. He married 1816 in Chillicothe, OH , Rosanna Beard, b: 1792 in Pittsburgh, PA , d: 1883.
They had several children. Three of these are known to have descendants mentioned below.

1818 --Location of 107 Fourth Street, Chillicothe, the former property of John Mitchell, the tailor, who purchased the property in 1818. The property was sold by his son, John Beard Mitchell, of New Albany, Indiana in 1888 and 1892 to Henry McIntire, the husband of Rosa Ridgeway. Rosa was the daughter of Susan Dorothy Mitchell, John Beard Mitchell's sister.

1850 --John Beard Mitchell left Chillicothe and went to Covington, then Louisville, Kentucky in his 20's, about 1855. He was first with the Louisville and Portland Railroad which ran between the two cities. (Now Louisville, Kentucky.)

1880? -- Rosanna Ridgeway married Henry McIntire. They lived for a time in Chillicothe, having purchased the old home at 107 Fourth Street. They later lived in California.
