Notes for C
HRISTENA BURKHART:
1. A letter from William Moberly (to Milum Moberly) stated that Christena was going to move to the Wakefield Farm (Nodaway County, Missouri) when her husband (Simeon Franklin Moberly) went looking for gold in Colorado (1859 ?).

2. There is considerable confusion on the birth year of Christena Burkhart. The 1850 Monroe County, Indiana census indicates she was born in 1817. The 1860 Rock Island, Illinois census indicates she was born in 1821. Information from FTM World Family Tree gives birth date as 6 January 1815. The grave marker in the Coleman Cemetery, Pickering, Nodaway County, Missouri indicated her birth year as 1812. The 1812 date is believed to be correct. The 1815 or 1817 date is possible, due to first child being born in 1835, which would make Christina 18 or 20 years old at that time. If 1821 were correct, Christena would have been only 14 years old at the time of her first child's birth.

3. A marriage took place in Mogan County, Indiana on July 10, 1866 between Christina C. Burkhart and William C. Farr. It is not known if this is the same Christina Burkhart but it is doubtful.

4. The Surname of Christena is spelled "Burket" in Indiana Marriages through 1850 (source: http://www.statelib.lib.in.us/tango/marriage/l-m.qry?function=search&start =1).
