Alton Montgomery aged 42, employee of the Midwest Dairy company, died suddenly of a heart attack at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon while fishing in Duck Creek near Puxico Missouri. He had been employed by Midwest five years and resided on Route 2, Poplar Bluff. He was a member of the Twin Springs Baptist Church. He leaves the widow and four children, Carolyn, Donna, Alton Jr. and Dallas, His parents, Jake Montgomery and Mary Simmons one brother, Vern of Michigan and a sister, Ruth Chatman of Poplar Bluff. he was a veteran of World War Two.

He was with members of his family on a Holiday fishing trip when stricken-his first heart attack.
