Hensall, Feb. 16.
The death accurred yesterday of Mrs. Mary Ann Hoover, widow of George Alair, after an illness of one week with pneumonia. Deceased, who came to this village to live a little over a year ago, was 82 years old. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W. Makins, of Michigan; Mrs. Steep, of Goderich Township, and Dora, at home; also two sons, Melville, Detroit, and David, of Niagara Falls. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock to Hensall Union Cemetery.

The Funeral.
Resting at her late home, Inman Road, where service will be held on Sunday afternoon, January, 2nd, at 2:30 o'clock, followed by interment in the Inman Road Cemetery.

Following a short illness, the death occurred on Thursday, December 30th, 1943, at her home on the Inman Road, Moulton Township, of Mrs. Hannah E. Dickhout, widow of Isaac W. Dickhout, in her 85th year. Mrs. Dickhout was born in South Cayuga, on February 13, 1859, a daughter of the late Baswell and Betsy Alair. On September 5th, 1880 she was married to Isaac W. Dickhout, who passed away just three weeks ago, Dec. 5th 1943. Mrs. Dickhout resided in Moulton for the last 39 years, and was well known and very highly esteemed. Surviving are three sons, Frank, Elmer and George, all of Moulton; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Two sons and a daughter predeceased her.

The funeral services were held from her late residence on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 2nd, 1944, with Rev. S. H. Lamb of First Baptist Church, Dunnville, officiating. Interment was in Inman Road Cemetery. The pallbearers were Gordon Wallace, Arthur Michener, Geo. Mossip, Joseph Mossip, Albert McAlonan and Robert Paisley. The floral tributes were very beautiful, showing the high esteem in which Mrs. Dickhout was held. Many friends and relatives attended the funeral from a distance.

Obitituary of Isaac Dickhout

Isaac W. Dickhout, a resident of Moulton township, died at his home on Sunday, Dec. 5, 1943. He was in his 89th year, but had lived retired from farming for the last 10 years. He was born in Sherbrooke, a son of the late Thomas and Mary Dickhout. Four years ago, Mr. Dickhout and his wife, the former Hannah Alair, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Besides his widow, he leaves three sons, Frank, Elmer and George, all of Moulton; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Four sisters also survive, Mrs. Joanna Willis, Toronto; Mrs. Sarah Sparks, Mrs. Etta Alwood of Hamilton, and Mrs. Almira Stillwell of Walpole Township, and a brother George of Sherbrooke Township. The funeral service was held at his home on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 8th, with Rev. S. H. Lamb officiating, assisted by Rev. Emery Shank. The pallbearers were Gordon Walker, George Moss, Joseph Moss, Arthur Michener, Robert Paisley and Bert McAlonan. Interment was in the Inman Road Cemetery.
Those attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Dickhout of Toronto, Mrs. Alwood and Arthur Zimmerman of Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Mark C. Seen and Mrs. Mary Forster of Caledonia, Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Furry of Port Rowan, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Furry of St. Williams, Frank Fleming, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fleming and family of Nanticoke, and Cecil Swales of London, Ont.

On Friday, January 27th at Vineland, Ontario, the death occured of Mrs. Gracie Fluhrer, sister of Mrs. E. E. Furry, after a few days illness from pneumonia.

Mrs. Fluhrer was born in the Township of South Cayuga, Haldimand County, on August 18th, 1861. She received her education in the school near her childhood home and at Dunnville and Caledonia High School.

Six years of her life was spent as a Public School teacher. Her husband, Mr. J. C. Fluhrer, predeceased her two years ago.

In her early years she accepted Christ as her saviour and her quiet, devout Christian life has meant much to the sorrowing family and relatives who survive.

The funeral, which took place from the family residence on Monday afternoon January 30th was conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. G. Litt of the Campden Evangelical Church, and was attended by a large number of relatives and friends.

Her body was laid to rest in the Vineland Cemetery 'neath a profusion of beautiful floral tributes.

The Funeral.
The late Mrs. Fry is resting at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. John McGuire, lot 28, concession 4, Dawn Township, until Wednesday morning, October 10th, when the remains will be conveyed to the Grass Funeral Home, Dresden, for funeral service at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Charles R. Gower officiating.
Interment will be made in the family plot, in Oil Springs Cemetery.

The death occured in the C.E.E. Hospital at Petrolia on October 7th of Mrs. Jessie A. Fry, R.R. 2, Dresden, after an illness of four weeks at the age of eighty-four.

Mrs, Fry was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Deamude of South Cayuga and was a member of the Baptist Church. Her husband predeceased her twenty-nine years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss, three sons, Clarke of Lowell, Mass.; burton of Erieau and Dwight of Utica, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. P. H. Sanderson and Mrs. John McGuire of R.R. 2, Dresden; Mrs Fred Groombridge of Petrolia, Mrs. John Wallace of Sarnia, and Mrs. William McLachlan of Corunna; also one sister, Mrs. E. E. Furry of Simcoe, besides 31 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

The funeral, which was very largely attended was held at the Grass Funeral Home in Dresden, with Rev. C. R. Gower officiating. A duet, "The Unclouded Day", was beautifully rendered by two friends of deceased. Her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Oil Springs. The floral pieces were numerous and beautiful.

Mr. and Mrs. E. E. furry attended the funeral of Mrs. Jessie A. Fry, sister of Mrs. Furry, who passed away after a four weeks' illness in the C.E.E. Hospital at Petrolia on Sunday, October 7. The funeral was held from the Grass Funeral Home in Dresden on Wednesday, October 10, Rev. C. R. gower officiating. burial took place in Oil Springs Cemetery. There was a large attendance of relatives, neighbours and friends and the floral pieces were beautiful and numerous.

The death occured in Dunnville on Monday, April 24th, 1944, after an illness of three weeks, of Mrs. Clarissa M. Robinson, widow of the late John Franklin Robinson, in her 69th year. Mrs. Robinson was born in South Cayuga Township, a daughter of the late John and Sarah Deamude, and her entire life was spent in this district. Deceased was of a retiring nature, but made many friends, to whom the news of her death came as a severe shock. She was a life-long member of South Cayuga Baptist Church, and a member of the Ladies' Aid. She was predeceased by her husband in 1937. Surviving are one son Donald, at home; five daughters, Aileen at home; (Elsie) Mrs. Harold Meadows, South Cayuga; (Evelyn) Mrs. Alec. Crawford, Niagara Falls, Ont.; (Georgina) Mrs. Arthur Bridgett, South Cayuga; (Maizie) Mrs. Kenneth Rittenhouse, Dunn. A stepson, Charles Robinson, of Norfolk, Virginia, USA, predeceased her in 1942. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Jessie Fry, of Dresden, and Mrs. E. E. Furry, Port Rowan, together with fifteen grandchildren.

The funeral was held from the family residence, followed by service and interment at the South Cayuga Baptist Church and cemetery. The services were conducted by Mrs. Robinson's pastor, Rev. Emery Shank. The pallbearers were Gilbert Fathers, Vernon Smith, Gilbert Pridmore, James Cossar, Judson Brown and Cameron Richardson. The flower bearers were Eugene Pridmore, Frank Swayze, Ray Crawford, Harry Clark, Harvey Rittenhouse. The floral tributes were numerous and of great beauty.
