I have been tirelessly researching my family ancestry for over three years. With the help of many other researchers and information from many sources I have managed to compile an enormous volume of information. I'm sure that some is inaccurate but I have managed to verify the bulk of it as being accurate. Please enjoy perusing the information I've gathered and please let me know if you're researching the same or have more information for me to add. This is a work in progress that will likely go on endlessly. I continue to research the following names: Montgomery, Lever (Levar), Reed (Reid), Watters, Beek, Johnson, Clark, Babcock, Morrison, Libbey, Moreside, Doten and Cook. There are others in my tree that I am also researching but they are distant and too numerous to mention. The immediate family ancestry consists of the names Montgomery, Clark, Watters, Johnson, Lever, Reed, Fairhead, Moreside and Cook. These names are my primary search.
The Montgomery family appears to have emmigrated from Ireland between 1830 - 1840. The Fairhead family appears to have come from the U.K. in 1853 as documented in New Brunswick census data. The Clark's also came from the U.K. around the same time as the Fairheads and is documented in New Brunswick census data as well. The Watters family traces back only to New Brunswick. It's likely they came from either the U.K. or Ireland but I have not been able to determine that. With such a common name I may never be able to determine their original homeland. The Reed family traces back to Maine and Germany, although, I can't verify the validity of that. Although I have done much searching myself I have to give a great deal of credit to those who have searched before me. I have been able to gather information from many sources including the following; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints website, The Provincial Archives of New Brunswick, Rootsweb.com, Ancestry.com, The New Brunswick GenWeb Project, The Maine State Archives, The Social Security Death Index online and many family members including those in the U.S. and Canada. I managed to take all the information and compile it into one database to enable all family connections to be understood and viewed in the hope that I can supply information and help others doing research make connections as well.
Before uploading my family data, and making this site public I need to give specific credit, and in some cases need to request permission from the originator(s) to post the data. Even though most all this data is available to the public, and can be found in public records, there are portions that were determined by digging into other sources, completed by other persons or groups, including conversations with individuals that would not otherwise be known if it weren't for those who have researched and documented this information. In addition I need to go through all information to determine where credit is due and where I may need permission prior to posting the data. Therefore, I still need to make many contacts prior to making this public.
