| These are my four main lines. My present "Most Wanteds" are: Joseph GIST, b. abt 1824 in Lauderdale County, Alabama, d. ? Joseph moved to Craighead County, Arkansas by the 1870 Census, and is listed as Joseph GUEST, his wife Matilda ?, and children Martha Jane age 9; John M.D.S (actually my gg grandfather, Joseph Marcus) age 3; and William D.D., age 9/12. Joseph Marcus GIST and Dr. William D.D. GIST moved to Dunklin County, Missouri by the 1890s. The other is: Dr. Richard Clifton BRANDON, b May 3, 1813, South Carolina, d. Apr 24, 1894, in Pickens County, Alabama. His wife was Mary S. Bailey, daughter of Kennerdy William Bailey and Mary Ann Perry. I believe that he is grandson to Richard Brandon and Agnes Kincaid of Union County, South Carolina. Agnes drew a pension for her husband's Revolutionary War service. These two individuals are my most elusive to document. I hope someone out there recognizes them. Surnames of interest to me at the present time include: Gist TN>AL>AR>MO; Yancey IL>MO; Brandon SC>MS>AL; Elmore AL; Carraway MS; Nunnery MS; Lambert TN>AR; Stepp/King NC>GA>AR; Barrett IL>MO; Bean TN>GA>IL; Duncan/Spiller TN>IL; Byers AL; Wilson MS; Holloway GA/MS; Hollis NC/AL; and more!
