Much of the information that I have accumulated over many years has been given to me, or is the result of other people's research efforts. Therefore, I am happy to share it with any other interested family historians. I ask only that you try to maintain its accuracy. If you want more information about an individual you find in the family outlines at the bottom of this page, contact me. I am still seeking information on all my families, so if you have a correction, or something I am missing, I would appreciate hearing from you.
MOORE** Around 1800, five children of Noble Moore of Ireland came to Tennessee. One of these was William Moore. William and his wife, Unity Tucker, had ten children, one of which was Noble Hamilton. Noble Hamilton Moore and his wife, Minerva King, were each born in Tennessee; he about 1824 and she about 1834. They bought a farm in Benton County, Arkansas in 1856. N. H. died of gunshot in 1863 and she died on the farm in 1872. Their children, William Columbus, Margaret Unity (Isom) and Noble Hugh spent their adult lives in central Texas. I have written a book about this family and their descendants.
LEWALLEN** Wiley and Mary Lewallen were each born about 1795 in North Carolina. They later lived in Tennessee, Alabama and Texas, and died in central Texas. I have written a book about their descendants, primarily those of their son, James Calvin and his wife Eliza, their son Joseph Wyley and his wife Mary Jane and their descendants.
PIEPER** Peter Pieper was born in Munster, Germany in 1795. Maria Elizabeth Kotter was born about 1806 in Ludinghausen County, Germany. Pieper migrated from Germany to Texas in 1833; Kotter in 1835. They married in 1838. Pieper had a daughter, Elizabeth Pieper, from a previous marriage. He had a step-son, Anton Menke, who adopted the name Pieper. Kotter had previous daughters, Wilhelmina Silkenbaumer and Elizabeth Simon. Together, Pieper and Kotter had Julia (Braden)and Paul Pieper. I have written a book about Peter Pieper and Maria Elizabeth Kotter and their descendants.
BRADEN** I am interested in the ancestors and descendants of all the Bradens who came from Budesheim (near Bingen in Hesse), Germany to Texas in the mid to late 1840s. I already have a lot of information, but there is much more out there. I would especially appreciate getting family stories about the Bradens.
FRANZ (FRANTZ)** Frederich Frantz was born in 1826 in Saxony, Germany. His parents were Jacob and Christina Frantz. Catherine (Kate) Braden was born in 1836 in Budeshiem, Germany. Friedrich and Catherine emigrated separately from Germany to Texas, and were married in 1857 in Frelsburg, Colorado County, Texas. The name "Frantz" was on the marriage certificate. Friedrich and Catherine lived their remaining years in Colorado County, and had these children: Andrew, Frances, Edward and Gustave Adolph. The children seem (for sure Edward) to have gone by the name "Franz".
GANSKE** Michael Ganske was born in 1837 in Posen, Germany. He married Julia Anne Drescher there. She was born in 1849. Their children, Adolph and Gustauv Heinrich, were born in Germany. The family came to Texas in 1873 and took residence in Washington County, Texas. Emil Carl, Maria Ottilie, Friedrich Wilhelm and Paul Rudolph were born to Michael and Julia in Texas.
BIALAS** Vincent Ignaside Bialas was born in Poznon, Poland in 1872. Hedwig Michalak was born there in 1875. They were married in 1894 in Poznon. Frances Hattie was born to Vincent and Hedwig in Poznon. In 1897 the family came to Texas and settled in Washington County, and later lived in Fort Bend County. Texas-born children were: John Vincent, Nickodemus, Lilian, Anastasia Theresa, Mary, Maxmilian, Joseph, Veronica, Edward, Clara and Henry.
Technical restrictions on this page prohibit posting of outlines for Ganske and Bialas, but I have some information.
