My Family History

Family Photos

  • Lillie Belle Stolz with Lillie Mae and Gus Wm Jr (81 KB)
Until recently, not a lot has been known about my Grandma's [Lillie Belle Tate Stolz] family. I now know that her parents were: W H Tate and Florence Elizabeth Armstrong. Florence died when Lillie was five years old and W H remarried. Lillie's paternal grandparents were: J D Tate and Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Golden. To this union were born ten/eleven children, only 8 were alive in 1910. Per the US Census, Mary was widowed with five children in the household. Many of this family are buried in Charles F Austin Cemetery in Austin, Texas. The parents of Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Golden were Steve Golden and Sis Fisk. I thank Billie Blackstock for a lot of the information known about my Tate/Fisk/Golden heritage. If you have any additional information and/or corrections, please let me know.
