I am researching William "Wash" DENHAM who married Nancy SIMPSON 29 Mar 1798 Rowan Co NC. There daughter was Delina DENHAM & son was George W. DENHAM. They left there & went to Calloway Co KY. Any response appreciated.

Looking for info on a William DENHAM. He was born on March 29, 1798 and married Nancy SIMPSON. They moved to Tn. and eventually settled in Murray, Calloway Co., Ky.

She came to Adair Co., KY with her parents in 1824. Her husband was her first cousin. It is believed that Myrah was living with her uncle, Parker Denham, at the time of her marriage. Her mother had left Adair Co., KY for Calloway Co., KY by February 1, 1827. Parker was the uncle of both the bride and groom and was bondsman at the wedding. He stated that they were both 21 years of age.

Saw your home page and the BALL family page. I believe that I am descended
from the DENHAM family - my connection begins where your's ends.
Unfortunately, my records of the "connection family" are scant. Mary
"Polly" DENHAM m. 1835 (Lancaster Co., PA) John MYERS.
My only previous reference for John and Mary is "The History of Medina County
and Ohio, 1881) - biography of my 2nd g-grandfather David Dudley Dowd (pp.
885-886). In the bio his 2nd wife was Mary Myers Decker (widow - she was b.
15 Dec 1842 Montgomery, Ashland Co., OH). Her parents were John MYERS (b. in
Lancaster Co., PA d. 1876, aged 77 - place not given but probably Ashland
Co., OH) and Mary DENHAM (says "b. 24 May 1804" in Lancaster Co.). They are
certainly the same couple in your DENHAM genealogy who m. in Lancaster Co. in
1835.
I have info on the Dowd descendants if you are interested. Also, I have a
few pages from the DENHAM genealogy - I think the same one you have. My
brother copied them from a quick trip to LDS library in SLC Utah, and didn't
copy the title page!! Am wondering if you might be able to send me a copy of
the title page and pages relating to the family of William DENHAM & --
Turner? I would be glad to pay costs.
Again - let me know if you would like the info I have on descendants - I can
try and send an attached FTM file if you would like. Thanks.
