Mary Denham, daughter of William Denham, Sr., was born in Rowan Co., NC in 1784. (Her birth date is proved by the 1850 Pulaski Co., KY Census). Her mother was a Turner. When she was a small child, her father moved to Madison Co., KY. She later became a resident of Pulaski Co., KY. Mary married John Eastham, son of James and Sarah Eastham of Pulaski Co., KY. They were married in Pulaski Co. They made their home in Pulaski Co., living on the waters of Wolf Creek "just across the line from Russell Co., KY".

Dr. Jim Brown gives date of death as 10 Aug 1870, age 88 in Pulaski Co., KY; From Denham Family History: John Eastham received his first KY land grant in 1828, containing 50 acres on Wolf Creek in Pulaski Co. IN 1841 he obtained 80 acres of land adjacent his 50 acre grant, by a court order, and in 1847, 5 more acres with all appurtenances, "across Wolf Creek in Russell Co., KY". Jillson's Ky Land Grants and Pulaski Co. Surveys). The 1810 Pulaski Co., Ky, US census show John and Mary (Denham) Eastham with five sons, age 10 and under. These sons have been accounted for. In the 1820 Pulaski Co. Census show the five sons, two daughters and three more sons; the 1830 Pulaski Co. Census show the older sons gone from home, two sons age from 5-10, 2 females, 2 sons, ages from 10-15, and one son, age over 20. (At this time there were eight slaves accounted for). The 1840 Pulaski Co. Census report the following: 1 female between ages 5-10; 1 male between ages 15-20, one male over age 20, but less than 30, therefore one can see how the children married and left home or had died. The 1850 Pulaski Co., Census shows the parents living, John age 86, born in Virginia, Mary, his wife, age 66, born in NC, the daughter, Sarah "Sally", born in KY, age 31, and a granddaughter, Mary Jane, born in KY, age 6. (Taken on September 18, 1850). Mary Eastham died around 1858. John died about 10 years later. There was a division of his estate in 1870 between the children named above. John Eastham had given his daughter, Sarah Eastham, the five acres of land located on the south side of Wolf Creek that he obtained in 1847, two years before his death. At her death, the place was to go to Mary Jane Eastham, "full and fee simple". Mary Eliza (Eastham) Bowlin had died without heirs. (Deed books 12, 13, 14, 15, & 18, pages 106, 557, 176, 359, 361, 363, 439, 587, Russell co., KY). It is assumed that the Easthams were buried on the homeplace, which later became the area of the Wolf Creek dam. It is not known where the graves were moved.
