Also on the ship was Johan Michael Crowl/Grauel''s daughter named Anna Catarina Crowl/Grauel who was 3. I understand that Anna and her brother Conrad may have died during the trip but their parents may have had other children and named them Anna Catarina and Conrad as well. (00017)

1736 Thomas Wilson I settled Frederick (now Carroll) County, Maryland. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and emigrated to Ireland where he met and married Mary Riley. They emigrated from Ireland to Nova Scotia, but the weather was too severe to suit them so they moved South.

10/8/1756 Abraham Moon was listed in the on the roll of the seventh company of the Virginia Regiment under Captain J. Lewis. Abraham was 40 years old and was 5'6" tall. He was a planter from Orange County Va. Orange was established in 1734 and broken down into many other counties, including Frederick and Augusta. The further division of these counties included those in current West Virginia.

1/29/1757 Thomas Wilson, farmer of Pipe Creek, made a payment of 22# 10S sterling money of Great Britain, and gave a mortgage, payable in one year on Margos Fancy -- 445 acres to James Dickson (Dixon?) Gentleman. It appears that he resided on the west side of Monocacy in the Taneytown neighborhood (Maryland).

1787 Jesse Dunn was born, most likely in North Carolina. Married Nancy Swinney in Tennessee in 1807. By 1810, he was in Kentucky. Apparently knew the law because he helped other family members in legal matters. Died in Hopkins County Kentucky in 1845. Information from James Kelly Dunn.

1789 At some point in early 1789 (apparently prior to 3/5/1789), an Abram Moon is listed in communications with the North Carolina General Assembly Session records related to requests for assistance with Cherokee Indian related problems. This information is in an email from Dennis Moon dated 11/5/1999. Dennis also mentions there is a Jacob Abraham Moon listed in a census. No followup. (00052)

1810 Jacob Moon, a possible brother of Abraham Moon, was listed in Glades Hundred of Garrett or Allegany County Md. as head of a family of seven. (Pioneer Families, page 416 & 418) Jacob was listed as having the following children:
Eve Moon married Job Griffiths who died of wounds from the Civil War.
William Moon, unmarried and lived with Eve on the farm.
Thomas Moon, married Elizabeth White and lived close to Red House of Garrett County Md. 2 of his sons were Joseph and John Thomas.
Another un-named daughter moved to Iowa with companions. They allegedly migrated further west but were believed to have been killed by Indians.
Some of Jacob’s descendants were said to have been distinguished by their bright red hair, doubtless inherited from an Irish ancestor. Their ancestry is said to be German, Iris and English (Pioneer Families, page 419)

Abraham had probably lived on the land years before he obtained the deed. His log house was near the present Bethlehem Church at the spring on the farm now owned by R. Menke.
