Although Peter was known as a Methodist Circuit Rider, no records of his ministry can be located in the church archives. The Perkins family settled in Whitley County, Kentucky and eventually gained title to land located on Pigeon Roost Creek-the waters of Clear Fork-near the Tennessee Border.
