Notes for Joshua A. Teague: Joshua Teague, the son of James Teague and Abigail Hamblin Teague, and Martha King, the daughter of William F. King and Sarah Jane Bowman King, were married November 23, 1890 in Fonde, Kentucky. They rode horses to Fonde form where Eagan now is located.
The family home was in Eagan near the Eagan Cemetery, which was the family cemetery. James Teague, Abigail Teague, Lewis Teague, Martha Chadwell Teague, Emily Teague King, Thomas M. King, Thomas M.C. King were buried there. Near the house was a large "walled spring" which was used by many people of Eagan at the time. Recently, a driveway had been bulit over the spring, destroying it.
January 7, 1903 Joshua bought a farm between Well Springs and Valley View from W.S. Bowman and Anna Bowman. The Teagues moved across the mountain to the farm in wagons through Childress Gap. The farm is still owned by the Teague Family.
