| Our family trees are adding more branches every day. With each new twig, comes a new mystery to solve. Ann's line is primarily English, Scottish and Irish, with a little French and German to add some interest. The Quaker influence is strong until the mid-1800's when most of the family fell away from the Society. Surnames include JOHNSON, STEWART, MILLS, ELLER, RECTOR, MENDENHALL, GEORGE, GILPIN, GATES, DUNN, SORRELLS, and PHILLIPS. Larry's branches are mainly German and English with a sprinkling of Scottish for good measure. We know his ancestors leaned toward Prostestantism, but the exact denominations still elude us. Surnames include JEFFORDS, FRITZ, BITNER, PALMER, KNIGHT, and ANDERSON. We are currently searching for more information on Larry's lines. The big mystery is his JEFFORDS ancestry which we can only trace to Illinois in the early 1900's.
