Julius Billiter researched the records of the Church at Lenk, Switzerland, making a record of everything that he found. This material is currently in the possession of the Genealogical Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. On film F-193,486 is found the following information in regard to the Trachsel Family of Lenk, Switzerland.
The records show Gwer, Stephan and Matheus Trachsel. Gwer born in 1534, Stephan born in 1536, and Matheus born in 1540. The church records do not contain information to prove that they were brothers, nor do the records contain any information as to their parents. Our ancestor was Stephan.
