Chesterfield County, VA Wills 1774-1802 by Benjamin B. Weisiger, III. Will of William Lockett, dated November 2, 1794. To Joseph Akins' four children he had by his first wife: William, Ann, Joseph and James, 1 negro To Josiah Lacy and Mary his wife, land and plantation they live on, 75 acres, bounded by Maj. John Hill, Capt. John Farmer, for life and then to Joshua Lacy, son of said Josiah and Mary Lend to William Hill and Jane his wife, land and plantation they live on, 111 acres, and then to William Hill their son. To Elisha Baley, son of James Baley and Elizabeth his wife, 68 acres in Chesterfield County bounded by Maj. John Hill, William Walthall, Lawrence Flournoy and Elizabeth Cheatham. to daughter, Phebe Lockett, land I live on, 81 acres, but if she dies without heirs, then to Thomas Briggs, son of John Briggs and Ann his wife; and my daughter Edith Lockett to have lifetime in said land and houses. To daughters Ann Briggs, Phebe Lockett and Edith Lockett, a feather bed each. To grandson James Akin, a feather bed Rest of estate divided among my daughters Mary Lacy, Jane Hill, Elizabeth Baley, Ann Briggs, Phebe Lockett and Edith Lockett.
