1.William1 Pride was born Bef 1717, and died Bef January 13, 1758 in Prince George County, Virginia. He married Amith.
Notes
I have estimated that this William Pride was born before 1717, due to the fact that he had a son, William Pride, who was still under age in the year 1758, and due to the fact that I believe him to be the father of Halcott Pride who married Mary Briggs. I do not know who his parents were but I do believe that he was more likely the grandson of William and Jane Pride, either being the son of Halcott and Martha Pride or the son of William Pride, son of William and Jane Pride. The reason that I do not place him as the son of William and Jane Pride is that he appears to me to be too "young" to be their son, William.

The only specific reference to a child of William and Amith Pride, is to William Pride, who was not yet 21 years of age in January, 1758. However, the Last Will and Testament of Halcott Pride who married Mary Briggs, suggests that Halcott Pride was also a son, and, without naming them as such, that William Pride might have been his brother and that Winnifred Pride and Elizabeth, wife of William Timberlake, might have been his sisters. Accordingly, they are all placed here as the children of William and Amith Pride.
