This photo was sent to me by Karen Chapman in July 2002. In an act of the utmost kindness and generosity, she has since given me the original Daguerrotype in its leather case. It will ultimately be donated to The Rooms in St. John's for restoration and preservation. The image is believed to be that of Frederick, a grandson of the immigrant.
