Hello!
My maiden name is Cynthia Root. My ancestor's lived in the Hartford, CT area. I have traced as far back as a great-great-great grandfather born in 1811. However, I am not sure of his birthplace.
I believe to be descended from a John Root who emigrated to the USA from Great Britain. I have no other info on John Root.
