I am researching the ancestors of our diverse family. On my Father's side the Morin family has ancestral roots in the Normandy area of France before immigrating to Canada in the mid 1600's.
On my Mother's side our ancestry is English as well as Welsh. The main family names from which we are descendants are: Morin, L'Heureux, Ferland, Demers, Ralphs, Brown, Phillips and Prosser.
On the maternal side The Southwick family is found in England in the late 1500's. They were some of the earliest settlers in North America arriving on the second crossing of the Mayflower. On the historic side a 1st Cousin, 6 times removed was a casualty at the Battle of Lexington & Concord, April 19, 1775.
