Hello! My name is Dennis Dewey Morrison, son of Onal Dewey Morrison and Edna Mae (Hill) Morrison. My GG-Grandfather was Isaac Morrison. He was from Virginia. Our family settled down mainly in the four states of Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. A few of us have moved to warmer climates. I, for one, am living in Florida. I know our ancestors came over from England or Scotland and I have found that Isaac's father was James Morrison, who had a trade as a "hooper" in England in the late 1700's. He indentured himself to pay his way over on a ship and settled in what is now Lewis County, West Virginia. James had three sons, James, Isaac and Jacob. I have a lot of information on each of Isaac's brothers and their descendants. My goal is to produce a family tree that includes as many branches as I can find on all descendants and their spouses, their families and their children. I am constantly looking for more leads. I hope you enjoy looking and if you are able to contribute some information, please E-Mail me. I have information on my mother's side of the family dating back to 1412.
