I am researching the ancestors and descendents of my Norwegian great-grandparents who came to the U. S. in the mid-1800's. I've included genealogy reports for my dad and mother, Henry E. Mork and Rosella Larson Mork. Any additional information, corrections and family photos would be greatly appreciated. I would especially like to hear from my cousins. My great-grandparents are:

Embrikk Halvorson Hallsteinsgard (Mork) (1807-1880) and Rangde Olsdtr Hytteplassen (1816-1905) were both born in Hovet, Hol, Buskerud, Norway and died in Marion Twp., Clayton Co., Iowa. They are buried in the Houg Cemetery about three miles east of Elgin, Iowa.

Asle Olson Holm (Olson) (1842-1908) and Sigrid Olsdtr Renslebratten (1841-1883) were both born in Nes, Buskerud, Norway and died in Marion Twp., Clayton Co., Iowa. They are buried at the Marion Lutheran Cemetery in Gunder, Iowa.

Reier Clemetson Larson (1837-1925) was born at Kopseng, Eggedal, Buskerud, Norway and died in Highland Twp., Clayton Co., Iowa. His wife, Ragnild Guldbrandsdtr ???, (1842-1934) was probably born in Valders, Norway and died in Highland Twp., Clayton Co., Iowa. I know very little about Ragnild other than that she was married at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church in Dane Co., Wisconsin and lived most of her adult life in Highland Twp., Clayton Co., Iowa.

Trond Thomas Thronson (1841-1909) was born at Selseng, Sogndal, Sogn og Fjord, Norway and died in Dane Co., Wisconsin. His father was from Selseng in Sogndal and his mother from Brekke, Aurland, Sogn og Fjord, Norway. Trond's wife, Johanna Evensdtr Jaere (1851-1929), was born in Ringsaker, Hedemark, Norway and died in Dane Co., Wisconsin. Her parents were Even Johannesen Hjelmstad (Jaere) (1821-1855) and Olene Olsdtr Samsahl (1826-1853). Olene died on the Atlantic Ocean during the voyage to the U.S. and was burried at sea. Even died in Dane Co., Wisconsin shortly after arriving in the U.S. Johanna was adopted and raised by Nils and Ingeborg Selseng.
