I am the daughter of Harold F. Bean and Shirley Jane Dreiman of Lacon, Illinois. I am trying to trace the family history of the Bean family. To my knowledge, no one has ever done this. I have traced the Bean family back to my great-grandfather, William Franklin Bean and his wife, my great-grandmother, Martha Fisher. The family came to Lacon from North Hatley, Quebec, Canada around 1865. It is also a possibility that they lived in Pennsylvania awhile before moving on to Illinois. My great-grandfather, William Franklin Bean, was in the lumber business in Canada and he lost an arm in a lumbering accident. My father, Harold Bean's, mother was Clara Belle Stinger, the daughter of Isaiah Stinger and Harriett Miller of Lacon, Illinois. I have almost no information on the Stinger family. Can anyone help? I am willing to share any information I have with others. |
