Mortimers of Chicago 1880 to Present

I am researching a Mortimer family group primarily from Co. Mayo, Ireland. Earliest verified individual is Philip (Phillip)? born 1855--immigrated to US in 1880--then to PA and settled in Chicago.
The loss of the 1890 census is a real problem, however, the other assets available have resulted in a seven generation verified listing.
A trip to Chicago--Newberry Library and others will be in the near future
