Thomas James McFarland, born in the early 1800's in either Harrison or Jefferson County, Ohio, married Nancy Owens circa 1850. They lived in Napa, California and Potter Valley, California. James Bradford Morse was born October 5, 1828 or 1829 in Nantucket, Massachusetts. He sailed around the horn on the "Martha" to California. He was a lawyer in San Francisco and a judge in Ukiah, California. He married Sarah Elizabeth Rader Quesenberry March 18, 1877 in Ukiah, California. Sarah's parents, John Charles Rader, born October 12, 1815 in Adams, Ohio and Elizabeth Ann Workman Rader, born December 12, 1818 in Bourbon, Kentucky, left Birmingham, Van Buren, Iowa for California as part of a wagon train. John Rader's father was George Rader, Jr. and his mother was Margaret Whitlatch Rader. His mother's parents were Samuel P. Workman and Elizabeth Ockerman. Mose Quesenberry and family came to Potter Valley, California from Missouri. His son, Zachariah married Sarah Elizabeth Rader in Potter Valley, California. Upon his death, Sarah married James Bradford Morse. James Bradford Morse is believed to be part of the Samuel F.B. Morse family. I would like to hear about any of these families. GMorris847@aol.com
