7. MARTHA² RUMFORD (JOHN¹) was born June 12, 1713 in Chester Co, Pennsylvania, and died Unknown in Y. She married RICHARD CARSON August 15, 1743 in Wilmington, New Castle Co, Delaware. He died Bet. 1781 - 1782 in Delaware.

Her death date is not known except that it is after 1782 when her husband died, and she is mentioned in his will. She was married August 15, 1743, to Richard Carson, at Wilmington, Delaware. They had announced their intentions to marry at the Kenneth Monthly Meeting on the 6th day 5th month 1743, and they announced a second time on the 7th day 3rd month 1743.
Richard and Martha lived in Wilmington, Delaware, where he was a cordwainer. Martha was his second wife, he was married first to Ann James, on the 4th day 9th month 1739, by whom one child was born, Jane Carson, 9th day 4th month 1739. Richard wrote his will April 7, 1781, and it was proved on December 4, 1782. Abstract of will.
