Supposedly was a policeman. My father, Jack Morris Sr, ha s a billy-club that was supposedly his.

I looked through the death records from Tidioute c. 188 7 - 1908. This is what I found: William C. Morris age 40 , died 29 Nov 1901 from Cancer. Wife's name was Anna Morris , birthplace Ireland

Mary Genevieve Morris age 15 years 2mos. 21 days, died 1 S ep 1906 from appendicitis. (sister of Harold and Vera)

C. Leonard Morris age 40, died 09 Jan 1904. (brother of Wil liam C.)

William C. Morris started as an engineer and later becam e a policeman

The coroners book I've been looking through is large, but i t has a wealth of info. It lists just about everybody wh o died in Tidioute from 1880 to 1910 or so. It list spouse s and kids so you can connect the families (with the help o f the census that is).

Anna imigrated to USA in 1871.
Anna Morris' maiden name was O'Brien.

Anna was dead before 1951, when her son Harold died. Whe n Harold's estate was settled, monies were taken from an ac count with Anna's name on it, so she probably had not die d to long before.

Vera never married according to my father, Jack Morris Sr , but went with
the town Doctor in Tidioute, PA. Vera was dead of cancer b efore 1951,
when her brother Harold died.
